Hungarian painter Gyula Agghazy lived and died in Budapest, Hungary, in 1919. He had equal interests in art and music. He played violin for a while at the National Theater in Budapest before attending the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and Munich. After completing his studies, he returned to Szolnok and eventually travelled to Paris, where he studied under Mihaly Munkacsy.
